It’s hard to keep going when it feels like no one cares what you say.
So I have this weird theory on “Destiny” mostly because I believe that everyone has a destiny, but I don’t necessarily believe there is only one. I believe we have options, because I don’t think that any deity takes enough time to figure out every detail of every single persons life.
It’s like the whole paradox of if you could go back in time if you did anything to alter the past, it would alter the future. How could that exist if destiny were real and there was only one single outcome? Pop culture shows us that even one small change may dramatically alter everything. I point out that is in fact pop culture because unfortunately we haven’t solved the riddle of time travel or at the very least there’s no proof because no one a part of it would realize it happened.
Anyway… Destiny. So I believe that there are a string of destinies for each person. You broke up with that person? Okay, maybe it really wasn’t meant to be and there are a hundred other people to choose from and maybe that’s that. Obviously I’m no expert, I’m just a person that hasn’t really decided what I think what’s going on in the universe when it comes to Gods, Destiny, and all that Jazz (I feel like that could be the title of a book). What if that’s not it though? What if you broke up for some stupid reason that you had the chance of resolving and if you had put in that extra effort then you would’ve lived happily ever after and that could have been the end of the story?
The real problem is we’ll never really know. The chances that if there is somebody out there in the recesses of the universe (or outside it) are unlikely to me. If you want my opinion on the whole God thing (and I really doubt you do - just like I doubt anyone took the time to read this far) is that yes, there was someone who created the universe and made all the steps happen - evolution - that brought humans into being. I don’t think they give a damn if that twelve year old got a boyfriend for two days and he broke her heart. Because there’s no point, destiny or not. We’ve all fallen into a state of being where we think our problems are so damn important - I’m 100% guilty of it. I do it all the time. Oh you’ve got problems? That’s cool, I have bigger ones. That’s it, that’s me. I’m a story topper and I’m aware of that fact and it’s another reason to be irritated at myself.
Anyway, I got way off track. I believe there’s no such thing as one way when it comes to destiny because there has to be different paths to travel, with different endings. I could be wrong - Cool for you if you think so. I have no proof I’m right. You have no proof you’re right. And nobody’s happy about it. That’s one of the reasons religion starts wars and people like to shove their beliefs down your throat. Because no one’s happy when they can’t prove their right.
This was the first long one in a long time. If you read it, thumbs up for you! If you actually held any interest in it, thumbs up for me! It’s late. I’m weird. Sleep is good.
